Welcome to Spring Hill Farm

Privacy and Natural Beauty   The farmhouse sits on 70 acres of meadows and woods, set well back from the road.  A long driveway crosses Cook Brook and runs through meadows on its way to the house and barn. The largest of 3 spring-fed ponds is over an acre in size, deep with a firm bottom and a little sandy beach area. It's a wonderful place to go swimming.

Location    Stratton Mountain Resort, long known for its skiing and more recently its fine 27-hole golf course, is 4 miles away. Bromley is also close and, with its southern exposure, is a great place to ski on a sunny but cold day. Manchester, Weston and Dorset are within easy driving distances from the farm.

The Farmhouse    The farmhouse was built in 1870 and contains an updated kitchen, dining room, living room, study, 7 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The bed count is 2 queens, 4 fulls, and 5 twins.  All rooms are heated with hot water and there are 2 antique wood-burning stoves and a fireplace to add to the cozy atmosphere. The house has a screened porch and patio with built-in barbecue. There is also a no-fuss electric sauna built in the old milk shed. Behind the house is Spring Hill, which protects the house from winter winds and affords fabulous sledding in the winter.
